If you're experiencing an issue with your GOTRAX electric scooter, your scooter's display may begin showing an error code. This list of error codes for every GOTRAX e-scooter model should help you diagnose and fix your issue.

Vibe, GXL V2, and Apex Error Codes
These error codes apply to the GOTRAX Vibe, GXL V2, and Apex Electric Scooters.
Error Code: E1
The scooter is experiencing a communication failure. To fix this error, try the following steps:
- Remove the console and use a soft rag to clean the connector between the console and battery.
- If the previous step doesn't work, replace the console.
Error Code: E2
The scooter is experiencing a brake lever failure. To fix this error, try the following steps:
- Remove the console and use a soft rag to clean the connector between the console and battery.
- If the previous step doesn't work, replace the console.
Error Code: E3
The scooter is experiencing a handlebar failure. To fix this error, try the following steps:
- Remove the console and use a soft rag to clean the connector between the console and battery.
- If the previous step doesn't work, replace the console.
Error Code: E4
The scooter is experiencing a motor failure. To fix this error, try the following steps:
- Replace the motor wheel.

- Replace the motor assembly.
Error Code: 5

G5 and G6 Error Codes

- Replace the controller, console and communication line together

The scooter is experiencing a zero anomaly. To fix this error, try the following steps:
- Replace the controller.
- If the previous step doesn't work, replace the motor wheel.

- Replace the console.

The scooter's rear drive motor is stalled or faulty.
Error Code: 5E
The scooter is experiencing a brake failure.

The hall of the scooter's rear drive motor is damaged.
Error Code: 7E
The scooter is experiencing an issue with its throttle. To fix this error, try the following steps:
- While the scooter is powered on, if the throttle is working, you can try releasing it to fix the error.
- If the previous step doesn't work, replace the throttle.
Error Code: 8E
The scooter is experiencing a rear drive controller failure.

The communication between the scooter's display and controller is faulty, and the controller cannot receive signal from the display.

The scooter's front drive motor is stalled or faulty.
